Event one is the Victory Pro Wrestling double main event at the Deer Park Community Center on Sept 22. This includes a cage match between VSK and Kai Katana as well as the championship match of Mister Tibbs and K-Fresh.

Victory Pro Wrestling (VPW) is a professional wrestling organization based in Centereach. I previously profiled Mister Tibbs (the man, not the wrestling persona) for my 520 final project. But I have not had the opportunity to cover an actual wrestling event – and fan reaction – outside of training.

Event two is a Greek Food Festival in Greenlawn, which runs from Sept 21 to 23. There will be music, dancing, performances and food. I don’t know much about Greek culture so I’d expect to learn quite a bit.
